Device Application: As the proportion of heavy oil and high-pour-point oil well extraction increases, our company has successfully developed a hollow sucker rod electric heating device to address the numerous challenges encountered during the extraction of heavy and high-pour-point oils. These challenges include difficulties in lifting crude oil, excessive load on sucker rods, increased load on pumping units, difficulties in lowering sucker rods, and issues with crude oil entering the pump. This device effectively resolves the technical difficulties encountered during the extraction of high-viscosity and high-pour-point oils.

Device Features:

a. Simple Operation: After normal operation of the hollow sucker rod, the cable is lowered into the inner bore of the hollow sucker rod using a cable winch, and the circuit cable is connected. Preheating is conducted before starting the well, allowing for same-day operation and extraction.

b. Simple Ground Setup, Convenient Use, Easy Management: Compared to conventional sucker rod wells, the only additional equipment on the surface is a dedicated power supply device, making the structure relatively simple.

c. Uniform Heating Temperature, High Thermal Efficiency, Automatic Temperature Control: Since the rod body of the sucker rod is directly heated, heat loss is minimal, and full-length heating of the sucker rod can be achieved.

d. Reduced Resistance and Increased Pump Efficiency: After the crude oil is heated, its viscosity decreases, reducing the resistance when lowering the sucker rod. This increases the effective stroke of the plunger, improves pump efficiency, and extends the pump inspection cycle.

e. Safe and Reliable Structure, Good Repeatability: During pump inspection, the cable can be retracted with a cable winch, and the entire sucker rod can be withdrawn. Both the cable and the sucker rod can be reused.

f. Improved Load Conditions: With the reduced viscosity of crude oil, the friction resistance of the sucker rod decreases, resulting in reduced upward load during the upstroke of the pumping unit and an increased speed during the downstroke. This effectively improves the load conditions of the pumping unit.

a. Working Principle:

The hollow rod electric heating device operates by inserting a cable into the hollow sucker rod and forming a circuit with the sucker rod body. Alternating current is then applied, utilizing the skin effect principle to generate heat on the wall of the hollow sucker rod. This heats the crude oil inside the tubing along its entire length, raising the temperature of the crude oil, lowering its viscosity, improving its flow, and preventing wax deposition within the tubing. This allows for the efficient extraction of high-pour-point, high-viscosity, and high-wax-content crude oils.
